Matt Wolpe is an artist and entertainer who splits his time between New York and Los Angeles where he grew up and attended The Hamilton Academy of Music. To further hone his skills Matt ventured to Boston for college and attended both The Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music where he majored in Musical Theatre and Songwriting.
Matt can be seen this fall starring as Lonny in the newly re-imagined immersive Los Angeles production of Rock of Ages and hopes to see you there. Before ROA Hollywood he was seen performing in the Broadway Musical "Finding Neverland" as Lord Cannan and was featured as Mr. Cromer in First National Tour of "Neverland". Other theatre credits include; The First National Tour of the Tony Award winning musical "Once", "Rock Of Ages" at New World Stages, “Hell’s Belles” Off Broadway and many regional productions including; Nicely Nicely in "Guys and Dolls" at The Weston Playhouse, Jack in "Into The Woods" at Sacramento's Music Circus, Freddy in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at The Noho Arts Center, 5 productions at Santa Barbara's Ensemble Theatre Company including Cliton in "The Liar", Billy in "Once" at the Cape Playhouse directed by Hunter Foster and Jerry Allison in La Mirada's "Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story". He has also performed at The Kirk Douglas, Boston Theatre Works, Pasadena Playhouse, The Engeman, and Laguna Playhouse.
On TV you may have seen him as the Bumble Bee Tuna Spokesman or in other commercials for Wendy's, McDonald's and most recently Charter Spectrum Cable. Matt also starred as Guy in the hit web series "Every Other Wednesday" in which he also penned the theme song and original music.
While Matt isn't acting he is writing songs and playing music all around the country. Matt has shared the stage with Glen Hansard, Craig Taubman, Jake Simpson, and has written and recorded with such notable artists as Kyle Patrick of the Click Five, Andrew Dixon (Colbie Caillat, Ryan Cabrera), Dustin "Copper" Jensen (Ava Brown Band), and Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vagoda (Striking 12, Sleeping Beauty Wakes, Toy Story).
In 2014 Matt won the prestigious Reno Ukulele Festivals' Songwriting contest for his song "She Plays The Ukulele”. He was also nominated for an American Songwriting Award for his song N.Y.L.A. and many other nominations with his band The Bedside Romeos.
He currently has 5 records out. 3 solo records - "The Dogwood Sessions" ,"Back To Basics" and "NeverEnding Land" an EP recorded while on tour with Finding Neverland . As well as 2 Records with The Bedside Romoes "Who You Gonna Blame" and the newly released "Volume 2". Matt is currently hard at work on 2 more records, an acoustic record of catchy Americana and a new passion project. He is also very excited for the Fall 2020 release of the music video for his single “Come Back” directed by Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages, Accidentally Brave, Clueless).
